Standard Policy:

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds or exchanges. In the event of a cancellation for which there is no rescheduled date, a refund for this ticket may be issued at the option of the management.

Please arrive to your scheduled performance on time.

PLEASE NOTE: Box office opens 1/2 hour before showtime (7:30PM or 2:30PM for matinees) and seating begins immediately. All seats are reserved in advance. Please allow enough travel time for frequent seasonal traffic and difficulty finding street parking.

IMPORTANT!! Frequently, due to artistic concerns, there can be no late seating for a period of time at the beginning of a performance. Latecomers will be seated at the discretion of the management. This direction is given to the House Manager and Box Office staff by the director of each play and we are bound to follow it. If you require assistance to your seat please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to curtain time.

Latecomers are seated at a time and in a location deemed appropriate by the House Manager so as to minimize the interruption of the performance. If you arrive at the theatre late, for whatever reason, please cooperate with the House Manager and take the seats he or she assigns you at the time. You may take your regular seats at the intermission. Show begins promptly at 8PM or 3PM for matinees.

The box office opens a half hour before show time and is located inside the theater lobby.

Tickets may also be purchased in person at the Information Booth on the Washington Street Mall.

View the Subscription Series Packages

Cape May Stage’s subscription packages for 2010 have raised a few questions and we’re here to answer them!

Q: How many subscription series are there now and what are the new “premium subscriptions” I’m reading about?

CMS offers five subscription packages for the main stage season.  We still offer our standard 7-show subscriptions for adults and seniors, and, this year, we introduced our new 4-Show Flex Pass for the seasonal theatergoer.  We created 2 premium packages this year: one for our exciting Opening Nights and the other for Saturday evenings.

Q: What’s with the Opening Night Subscription Series?

Opening Night is CMS’ version of a red carpet event!  All Opening Night subscribers are guaranteed the same seats for every show, treated to a gift certificate to the CMS store, invited to attend our special after-parties with the cast and crew, and get to meet and greet the performers immediately after the performance.

Q: Why can’t I use my standard subscription on a Saturday Night?  I always could before…what’s up?

Because Saturday night ticket prices were increased by $5, we created the Saturday Night Premium Series, so you can still save 15% when you subscribe.  The good news is that you still can use your Standard Adult or Senior subscription on a Saturday Night!  There is, however, a small upgrade balance you will be asked to pay at the time you reserve.

Q: My sister and her husband are coming into town next weekend.  Can the four of us come on my one pass?

No.  Each pass is good for only one admission at a time.

Q: If I get a Saturday Night Subscription, do I have to pick all of my dates in advance?  Do I have to tell you now when I want to go in November?

Yes.  Just like the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia, you are required to select your dates and seats in advance.  We understand life happens, so rest easy knowing you can ALWAYS exchange your tickets for a different date at no charge.

Can I still buy a pass like the past?  Do you still offer that?

Yes! You can still buy a pass and make your reservations on a show-by-show basis—just like before. All subscriptions remain flexible and include minimum restrictions.

Q: Do I have to reserve in advance if I have a Standard Season Pass?

Yes.  Because our playhouse only seats 100 people, it tends to sell out very quickly. To guarantee availability, everyone is encouraged to make reservations in advance.

Q: Now that you have assigned seats, how soon should I make my reservation?

The sooner the better! We recommend you call the box office the minute you put us on your calendar.  Unless you purchase an Opening Night or Saturday Night premium subscription, there is no guarantee your seats will be together.  Call us and we’ll lock it in for you!

Q: How do I buy a pass?  Do you take credit cards or personal checks?

Call (609) 884-1341 and make you purchase over the phone with a live person!  We accept Visa, MasterCard, and Discover—and, yes, we accept personal checks.

Q: I’m a senior citizen and it’s just too expensive to subscribe. Do you offer any discounts?

CMS offers half-price preview performances the day before each opening night.  We also offer half-price senior matinees and evening performances for each show throughout the season.  Our Dinner & a Show packages with seven local restaurants all package tickets at a reduced rate.  Thanks to PNC Arts Alive, we also offer pay-what-you-can performances and special evenings of theatre for veterans, students, and the deaf all at reduced rates.  Call our box office for details or visit capemaystage.com and click on the “Ways to Save” page to learn more.

Q: I want to become a subscriber.  Where can I read more about the packages?

Visit capemaystage.com and click on “Subscribe and Save” or call us (609) 884-1341 for more details.
