Cape May Stage is located at at the Robert Shackleton Playhouse on the corner of Bank and Lafayette Streets in the heart of the Historic district in beautiful Cape May, New Jersey. We're housed in a classic Renaissance Revival (c. 1853) building which formerly served as the Presbyterian Church and the City's Welcome Center. Click here for map.

What accessibility services does CMS offer its patrons?
The Cape May Stage theater is fully accessible to all persons with disabilities. Our theatre is equipped with a ramp to the front entrance and provides front-of-house seating for patrons with vision impairments or wheelchairs. Bathrooms are also wheelchair accessible. We have an assisted-listening system so we may better serve our patrons with special hearing needs. The House Manager on duty will provide you with a headset upon request before the production begins . If you have special vision needs, large-print programs are available from the House Manager. We also offer ASL and open captioning for select performances; check the performance schedule for details.
Should you have any special seating needs, please contact the Box Office at least a week in advance so that we can make the proper arrangements. When you arrive at the theatre, please notify the House Manager and he/she will be happy to assist you.
Persons with Disabilities, along with one companion, can receive a 20% discount off the regular admission price.

What is your work like?
Cape May Stage is a professional Equity theatre company, featuring traditional, contemporary and new works in an intimate setting. Since 1987, actors, directors, and playwrights from around the country have set the standard for excellence by providing world-class theatre in a unique and historic venue.
How big is your theater?
Cape May Stage is an intimate theater with an audience capacity of approximately 110 persons. We are wheelchair accessible and have listening devices available for the hearing impaired.
 How can I audition?
Cape May Stage holds annual Equity auditions in New York and Philadelphia. Notices are posted in Backstage and on our website. Submissions are also accepted.
